Video by Pastor David Asscherick
This video explores the history behind ancient beliefs and their modern impact. Your view of the past and present will never be the same after seeing how interconnected the wicked mystery religion truly is and how far occult orders and organizations will go to try to usurp the place of God in the hearts of humanity. Though evil endures, the truth of God’s Word never fails.
Most people believe the wicked will be tortured in Hell for eternity, but is that really what the Bible says?
I can't believe it was there the whole time, and I missed it for so many years. I was raised in the Church and studied Theology in Bible college, but I never heard anyone talk about these hidden prophecies. When I finally learned about them, it blew me away.
We want to challenge you to dig deeper into God's Word and help you remove your lens of interpretation so you can let the Bible interpret itself. We are a Christian ministry that believes in and teaches the whole Bible. We aim to be...
The rapture theory has become very popular among Christians, but popularity does not determine sound doctrine. Our doctrine must always come from the Word of God alone, not the imaginations of men. The Bible is our source for truth and doctrine, so we need to determine if the rapture theory is Biblical or not.
In Genesis 2:1-3, God created Adam and Eve on the latter part of the sixth day after all the work of Creation was “finished.” They did not participate in the work of Creation, nor did they witness it with their eyes. They awoke to life as a free gift of God's abundant grace and all its pleasures. Then they rested on the seventh day as their first full day of life. Genesis 2:7 states that God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good that man should be alone.”
To know who they are and who God is in relation to them, they must occupy a position of faith. Paul gets at this in Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Verse 3 adds, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." Faith and trust are built into man's nature.
Where does the Sabbath fit into God's creation and our relationship with God? It is intended to keep in our spirit the truth of who God is and who we are: Creator (Giver of life) and created (position of dependence). The Sabbath is a memorial of Creation and Redemption. It is God’s weekly reminder to us that our salvation is 100% the gift of His grace, through Christ, to be received by faith alone. It guards us against legalism and self-reliance. It was created to put all our hope and trust in our Redeemer. The Sabbath tells us that good works contribute absolutely nothing to our salvation while at the same time revealing God’s mighty work in us. We are saved by His creative work. Our part is to rest by trusting in His mighty power to save us. See Exodus 20:8-11 and Deuteronomy 5:12-15. Also, see Genesis 1:1-3 and John 1:1-5. John makes a direct reference to the opening verses of the Old Testament. His message speaks of salvation in creation language.
In John 17:4, Jesus said, "I have finished the work which You have given Me to do." In John 19:30, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. 2 Corinthians 4:6 says, "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." 2 Corinthians 5:17 adds, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Ephesians 2:8-10 explains, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 4:23-24 says, "Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." Psalm 51:10-12 prays, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me... Restore to me the joy of Your salvation."
Luke 23:54-56 and 24:1-3 inform us that Jesus finished the work of salvation on Friday, rested in the tomb from that work on the Sabbath, and rose from the dead on Sunday. The prophet Isaiah foretold the gospel going to the gentile world and the formation of the New Testament church. According to this prophecy, New Testament believers, both Jews and non-Jews, will be Sabbath-keepers because the Sabbath is a constant reminder of the new covenant of God’s law written in the heart and the impossibility of salvation by works. Isaiah 66:23 states, "It shall come to pass that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, ALL flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says God.
In Acts 13:13-44, Paul and his party went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down. When the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. On the next Sabbath, almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.
Jesus, as the embodiment of the new covenant, was a Sabbath keeper and envisioned His end-time people as Sabbath keepers: Luke 4:16 says, "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read." Mark 2:27-28 adds, "And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.'" Matthew 11:28-30 invites, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
From the book "Steps to Christ" by Ellen White:
"When the mind dwells upon self, it is turned away from Christ, the source of strength and life. Hence it is Satan’s constant effort to keep the attention diverted from the Savior and thus prevent the union and communion of the soul with Christ. The pleasures of the world, life’s cares and perplexities, and sorrows, the faults of others, or your own faults and imperfections—to any or all of these he will seek to divert the mind. Do not be misled by his devices. For many who are really conscientious, and who desire to live for God, he too often leads to dwell upon their own faults and weaknesses, and thus by separating them from Christ he hopes to gain victory. We should not make ourselves the center and indulge anxiety and fear as to whether we shall be saved. All this turns the soul away from the Source of our strength. Commit the keeping of your soul to God, and trust in Him. Talk and think of Jesus. Let self be lost in Him. Put away all doubt; dismiss your fears. Say with the apostle Paul, 'I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.' Galatians 2:20. Rest in God. He is able to keep that which you have committed to Him. If you will leave yourself in His hands, He will bring you off more than conqueror through Him that has loved you."
SUNDAY: IS IT THE SABBATH DAY?
Many claim that since we are living in New Testament times, the Old Testament no longer applies to us. However, there was no New Testament in existence when Second Timothy 3:16 was written: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” This verse specifically refers to the Old Testament and tells us that the Old Testament is just as much in force today as when it was written.
Cardinal Gibbons, in *Faith of Our Fathers*, 92nd ed., p. 89, freely admits, “You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [the Catholic Church] never sanctify.”
Again, “The Catholic Church, by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday” (*The Catholic Mirror*, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893).
“Protestants do not realize that by observing Sunday, they accept the authority of the spokesperson of the Church, the Pope” (*Our Sunday Visitor*, February 5, 1950).
“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons).
What does the Bible say about eternal hell? Is eternal hell biblical? Do you want to know the truth about eternal hell? Many people claim that eternal Hell is the absence of God, but that is not what the Bible says. If you look up the word Sheol in many Bible translations, you will find that it's often translated as "hell"; however, the modern concept of "hell" does not line up with the Biblical descriptions of Sheol.
The word Sheol occurs sixty-five times in the Hebrew Bible. The King James Bible translates thirty-one of those occurrences as "hell," another thirty-one as "grave," and three occurrences as "pit." The word "hell" is used approximately fifty-four times in most Bibles and is translated from several different words including "Sheol," "Hades," "Gehenna," and "Tartarus." All of these words have different meanings and usage in the Scriptures, and their collective translation as "hell" has caused major confusion about death.
The word "hell" was derived from the Old English word "hell," and is related to the Old Norse goddess named "Hel." In its original use and etymology, the word "hell" literally means "to cover, or conceal," and may have simply referred to the ground covering over the dead person. However, in many pagan cultures, it was believed that Hell (or Hades) was the underworld and was ruled by the god of the dead.
The more popular modern version of this concept refers to a place of fiery torment and is understood by many to be the home of Satan and his demons. It's believed that the unrighteous dead go immediately to hell to be tortured in flames for eternity. Many people also believe that Satan and his demons are in charge of actively torturing those damned souls. However, in spite of the fact that none of these ideas can be traced back to the Bible, they remain the popular mainstream view of hell today.
The Bible never says that Satan is in charge of Hell or even that he is currently living there. In fact, the Bible says that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire after the thousand-year reign of the Messiah. The idea that Satan oversees Hell is rooted in the Greek belief in Hades as the god of the underworld. When people say that Satan is in charge of Hell, they are rehearsing pagan mythology, confessing Satan to be the god of the underworld, and participating in a modern "Christianized" version of the pantheon.
The Bible says that Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit during the thousand-year reign of the Messiah and that he will be released for a short time to deceive the nations before being cast into the lake of fire. The Bible also speaks of fallen angels who were imprisoned in Tartarus to be held for judgment. The idea that Satan is the god of the underworld comes from various pagan religions including Ancient Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek, Persian, Roman, Germanic, and Celtic mythology, and is completely unbiblical.

Dozens of Biblical prophecies not only point to the exact year of the Messiah's first coming (30 C.E.), but those same prophecies even point to the year of his return (2030 C.E.). It has all been hidden in plain sight for thousands of years.
